He traces his life's failures back to a high school championship baseball game where at a crucial moment he struck out. One night his delapidated car breaks down in front of a bar. Inside the bar he meets a mysterious bartender, Mr. Destiny, who offers Larry a cocktail called "spilt milk". After the drink, Larry finds his entire life has been altered. Instead of striking out he hit a home run, and by changing that one incident his entire destiny is completely different. He is married to the prom queen and extremely wealthy. Instead of a sweet, friendly guy, he is now a ruthless tycoon who has laid off great numbers of people and whom everyone hates. Before long he begins yearning for his simpler life.
